L-I-Z-Z-E-N

LIZZEN’s musical journey began the moment she shared her raw, soulful sound with the world. After investing just $50 to promote her original music online, everything changed with the release of “Why.” The emotional force of that record captured immediate attention, drawing in millions of listeners who felt her honesty, her tone, and her heart. People connected to her naturally — and the industry couldn’t help but follow.

From that spark, doors began opening. Her voice — pure, original, and unforgettable — created opportunities with major artists and respected industry names. It wasn’t luck, and it wasn’t hype. It was her gift.

Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, LIZZEN carries her hometown with her everywhere she goes. She’s proud of where she comes from — the east side, the people, the culture, and the 330 area code that shaped her. And anytime you see her throw up her hand sign, don’t mistake it — it’s not a gang sign. It’s simply her way of saying, “Akron made me.” It’s 330 love.

And even her name has a story.

When people first meet her — before they know her, before they follow her — the very first thing they do is listen. Her voice draws you in without effort. One day she heard that still inner voice say, “Call yourself Listen.” She loved the meaning but wanted it to be unique, something created from her own hands.

So she spelled it differently:
L-I-Z-Z-E-N.

Her name is Listen, only spelled her way — a reminder that when she sings, you can’t help but do exactly that.

Story of L-I-Z-Z-E-N

Since emerging onto the scene, LIZZEN has made waves across R&B, collaborating with artists such as Robin Thicke, Keith Sweat, October London, and more. In just a year and a half, she has earned 50M+ streams across DSPs, released multiple viral tracks, and built a fast-growing base of supporters who believe in her deeply.

In June 2024, she released her debut album “On The Bus,” which climbed to #2 on the R&B iTunes Chart. The standout track was the remix of her viral hit “Right & Wrong” featuring R&B legend Keith Sweat, which reached the Top 20 at R&B radio in the U.S. Her breakout single “Why” also reached the Top 20 at Urban Radio and was highlighted on Billboard.com in their feature “10 First-Times on Billboard’s Charts This Week.”

She toured with Kountry Wayne and stepped into her own spotlight during her City Winery Tour. The rooms weren’t packed yet — she was just beginning — but the people who were there connected with her instantly. Some already knew her music, others were hearing her for the first time, but every single person left moved by her voice and blown away by her presence. Those early nights taught her something important: even small rooms can hold big love.

And now, the rooms are growing.
The venues are calling.
More people — from more cities — are discovering the magic of LIZZEN.

Her latest single, “Sweet Thing (Work It Out),” is climbing Urban radio, Shazaming Top 30 in Charlotte, NC. It became the #2 most added song in its first week and is set to break into the Top 40.

But beyond the numbers, there is who she truly is:

LIZZEN is warm, humble, and easy to love.
She connects with genuine people — not just big names.
She is respectful, real, down-to-earth, and fun to be around.

And she does not call them “fans.”
She calls them supporters — because she knows without them, there is no her.
It is an everlasting love.

Every day, she learns more about the industry — the beauty of it, the challenges of it, and the lessons that come with it. She has already seen that not every smile is friendly, yet she continues to rise with grace, strength, and purpose.

Her story is still unfolding.
Her voice is still growing.
Her climb has only just begun.

And the world is just beginning to listen.
